Dr. Camile Semighini Grubor is a highly motivated biotechnology professional with more than 10 years of experience in medical and technical writing, intellectual property, and technology commercialization both in industry and in academia. Dr. Grubor has a BS in Pharmacy and Biochemistry and an MS in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of São Paulo (Universidade de São Paulo), Brazil. She has also completed a PhD in Biology with a minor in Plant Pathology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, United States. Dr. Grubor has researched the DNA damage response and programmed cell death pathways using fungal genetics and also has used murine RNAi models to study hepatocellular carcinoma and non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
A natural communicator capable of engaging with diverse audiences, Dr. Grubor has a deep understanding of grant proposal application and medical writing. Her excellent writing skills were demonstrated by the award of $5M in competitive grants, publication of 2 book chapters, and 20 peer-reviewed papers cited more than 1000 times while in academia and working for a biotechnology company. Dr. Grubor also has experience with patent and product development related processes.
